Dhauli-Kalinga Mahotsav; 2nd evening witness a mixed flavour of classical dance, music and martial artUSIC & MARTIAL ART

Bhubaneswar:  Feb 08: The second evening of Dhauli Kalinga Mahotsav kicked off with Tala Vadya Vichitra by Guru Dhaneswar Swain and Group. He is an internationally acclaimed Mardala player known for his effortless execution of melodious strokes. Today’s the group performances in music was brilliant in rhythmic compositions and melodious.

The next presentation was Bharatnatyam by Vaibhav Arekar & Group from Mumbai. Their all items were dedicated to Lord Shiva. Their first presentation was Shiva Bandana followed by Ardhanariswar, Hari-hara, Shakti, Bhakti and Nataraj. The dancers are narrated the different facets of Shiva in Bharatnatyam style and exhibiting classical skill and talent much to the joy and ecstasy of the audience.

The last programme of the evening was martial dance of Malkangiri, Odisha “Budhayan”. Today’s the dancers fighting techniques, physical exercises and methods of mental discipline are fantastic.
