Bhubaneswar, Apr 4: Yesterday the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) came up with mobile applications for corporate social responsibility (CSR) and bill tracking system (BTS). The Systems department has developed both the apps which were launched by A K Jha, Chairman & Managing Director of MCL at the 26th Foundations Day of the company. Jha appreciated the Systems dept of MCL and also stated that these android-based mobile applications would be beneficial for company’s stakeholders. The Bill Tracking System (BTS) has been developed to act as a tool to valued vendors/contractors through which they can view the status of bills submitted by them in MCL. It gives real-time status of the bills that helps in bringing more transparency. On the other hand, the CSR app is to provide some useful information related to the CSR activities completed or undergoing across several districts of Odisha. The app has a head wise, schedule VII wise, area wise and district wise expenditure reports and major activities under CSR. It also contains information about the CSR policy, annual report and budget and expenditure details under CSR of MCL.
