17th edition of Rajdhani Book Fair starts from today in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: Today the 17th edition of Rajdhani Book Fair was inaugurated at the unit-III Exhibition ground here. The Fair will be gracing the capital city till Jan 15. A book fair is a platform where the publishers, writers and readers come together. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the MP Prasana Patsani, Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo, Dr. Upendra Kumar Jena, the founder President of Rajdhani Book fair and many writers of the states.

Around 500 hundred stalls have been put that include stalls set up by publishers of all the states in India, corporate offices, government organizations like IGNOU, Odisha State Open University, LIC and many more, educational institutions. People have a chance to read and buy a collection of books published by different publication houses like Kalyani Publication, Orissa Book Emporium, Geeta Press, Oxford Publication etc.

Various food stalls are also set up on the event ground. Visitors can relish themselves at these food stalls along with reading their favourite authors’ publications. They can even purchase their choice of books depending upon an individual’s pocket.
