Paradip, Jan 4: In connection to the 1995 Abduction case, the Crime Branch of Odisha police grilled the Industrialist and Managing Director of Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL), Mahimananda Mishra yesterday. Mishra is now in police remand in connection with the murder of the Seaways Shipping company manager Mahendra Swain. Yesterday, two senior CB officials arrived here to interrogate Mishra. It’s stated that the CB officials seek to know Mishra’s links with the 1995 case, also whether there was any sort of rivalry between OSL and JM Bakshi Company and the controversies surrounding stevedoring business during that time.
In 1995, Pratap Chandra Das, who was the then manager of JM Bakshi Company, was abducted in Paradip.
