Cuttack, May 3: Today the Commissionerate Police has filed a chargesheet in a court against industrialist Mahima Mishra and his associate Ganesh Sahu in connection to the 2013 Press Chhak bomb hurling case. It’s stated in the chargesheet that based on Ganesh Sahu’s statements, Mahima’s involvement was revealed. The chargesheet has bee filed in the court under Sec 120B of IPC for criminal conspiracy, Sec 9B of the Explosives Act and Sec 307 for attempt to murder and Sec 34 IPC. Mahima is currently jailed in connection to the murder case of Seaways general manager Mahendra Swain.
Notably, as per the chargesheet, the Press Chhak bomb hurling incident took place because of the dispute between Mahima and Abhaya Bhatt regarding land. Abhay purchased the land worth Rs 72 lakh which Mahima could not purchase, the result of which Mahima gave orders of the bombing.
