Paradip, Jan 5: Yesterday after a joint team of Angul police, Paradip ASP and Paradip IIC carried out a long interrogation to industrialist Mahima Mishra in connection with the firing at Jalaram Transport in Angul on the last day of his remand period, Commissionerate Police grilled Mishra for his involvement in 2013 Press Chhak bombing case in Cuttack, after reopening the case. Mishra was grilled by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Cuttack and Madhupatna Inspector in Charge (IIC) here. The cops are also supposedly to take Mishra on a five-day remand for further interrogation in relation to the 2013 case. Today, after being produced before the Kujang JMFC court in the morning Mishra was taken back to the Samagol jail. In the meantime, the Angul Colliery police has requested before the Kujang JMFC court to take Mishra on 5-day remand in connection with Jalaram Transport firing case.
On other hand, in the connection with the bomb hurling case as per police sources, criminal Ganesh Sahu of CDA area has been arrested. It’s also stated that as many as seven cases are pending against Ganesh in various police stations of Cuttack.
