Bhubaneswr, April 16 : Steel Directorate will be opened soon to address the problems faced by the steel industries.Initially, the directorate will operate from state secretariat.
The proposed directorate will work to frame policy initiatives for utilization of the untapped potential in the state’s steel sector. On 31st Dec’2015, the state cabinet approved a proposal to set up a special wing.
So far, the state government has signed 49 MoUs to set up steel projects, of which 30 projects have already started functioning.
