United Samaj Morcha

22 out of 32 farmers’ organizations of Punjab have decided to enter the election fray by forming a United Samaj Morcha. And as announced, they shall fight on all 117 seats. Balbir Singh Rajewal will be the face of the front of the farmers’ organizations.

Ten other unions belonging to the state and were part of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha have refused to be part of the political front.

At the same time, the leader of the organizations living outside this front, Dr. Darshan Pal has said that the farmers’ organizations contesting the elections should not use the name of Samyukt Kisan Morcha.

On this occasion, Balbir Singh Rajewal, the face of the post of CM of United Samaj Morcha and senior farmer leader said that after the fight to get the three agricultural laws repealed, there was a lot of pressure on us. Different sections of the society are expecting from us that farmers should come forward to change the corrupted system.

Chief Minister’s face Balbir Singh Rajewal, however, clarified there was no alliance as of now with any political party. But at the same time he didn’t rule out any future possibility.
