Bhubaneswa, Sept 5: After the news of at least 11 residents of Banbheri and Kalyansighpur at Rayagada district dying due to diarrhoea in the last 15 days came to the lime light, four temporary health camps have been set up by the district administration to take control over the situation.
As per the information, 100 diarrhoea patients have been treated at Kalyansinghpur hospital in the past few weeks.
Stale food, specifically chicken is stated to be the reason behind the disease.
To review the situation in Kalyansinghpur and Parsali, officials of the district administration and health workers had visited the spot on Sunday.
Round the clock health camps covering 34 villages will be set up for the next 15 days. If required, it will be extended for more days. Free cooked food with hot drinking water is being providing at the camps, informed Muralidhar Swain, Rayagada Sub-Collector.
