Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: A decision of Odisha bandh on August 16 was taken at an important meeting of senior party leaders chaired by Odisha Pradesh Congress President (OPCC), Prasad Harichandan at the party office here today.
The decision regarding Odisha bandh was announced by the Congress today intensifying its protest on the Mahanadi issue.
Harichandan addressed the media and said that the Centre should look into the matter and should restrict the neighbouring state’s government from constructing the barrages and dams on Mahanadi River.
Harichandan also demanded that Odisha government should take necessary legal action against Chhattisgarh over the issue.
