Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: Felicitating for his life time achievement and contribution to the Odia film Industry, the Jayadev Puraskar for 2015 was conferred to the Producer and Cinematographer, Ashok Swain. The award was presented to him at the 27th State Film Awards held at Utkal Mandap, here on Monday.
The State Film Awards were given under 27 categories. Directed by Susant Mani, ‘Kehi Nuhe Kahara’ was felicitated under seven categories. The Best story award was cornered by Tapas Saragaria for his film ‘Ishq Tu hi Tu’. The film was also awarded with four more awards. The Best Jury award had been awarded to film ‘Pahadara Luha’ directed by Sabyasachi Mohapatra.
Apart from that, Soumya Ranjan Das had been awarded with the Best Actor award for the film, ‘Antarleena’ and Barsha Nayak got the Best Actress award for her film ‘Tualsi Apa’. Under the Best Playback Male and Female categories, Goutam Giri and Antara Cahkraborty had been awarded respectively.
Arun Sahu, Law Minister, Ashok Panda, Culture and Tourism Minister, MLA Bijay Mohanty and MP Prasana Patsani graced the evening with their presence.
