3-day India Surf festival on Ramchandi beach near Konark ended on Tuesday

Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: Curtains came down on the fifth edition of the annual India Surf Festival held on the Ramchandi beach near Konark along the marine drive. Surfers and enthusiasts from across the country and all over the world participated in the three-day festival which ended yesterday. The event offered the participants the chance to participate in workshops, competitions, musical events among others.

The main attraction at the festival was the Surf Expressions Championship, where surfers exhibited their freestyle moves, and India SUP Cup. Dundoy from Philippines won the SUP Cup followed by Chennai’s Apu and M Murthy as first and second runners up. Among its many attractions was the Walk on Water and Yoga on Water events, as well as skateboarding competitions. In the Surfing event, Chennai’s Apu stood first followed by Dharani and Satish registering second and third positions. Surfers from Chennai bagged four awards in various categories. In addition to this, Walk on Water workshops was held. Experienced SUP surfers tried their skill at the Yoga on Water workshops.

The SUP Cup is India’s biggest Stand Up Paddle (SUP) competition. Racers from more than 10 countries showcased their skills along a challenging river course.
