Bhubaneswar, Nov 12: State ruling Party has failed to meet the deadlines on projects like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PAY) and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), said Union Minister of Rural Development Ram Kripal Yadav on Saturday. He said, as many as 70,000 houses are yet to be constructed under Indira Awas Yojana scheme in Odisha.
While reviewing the progress in various centrally sponsored schemes, Yadav informed, BJD government has constructed only 1.81 lakh houses under Biju Awas Yojana and the rest houses are built from central govt fund. Refuting the charges, BJD spokesperson Surya Narayan Patra said, it is only the attempt to defame the state government.
