Rose Valley chit fund scam: Arrested TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay’s bail petition rejected by SCJM court in Odisha capital; Judicial custody till Jan 25

Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: In connection to the Rose Valley chit fund scam case, yesterday the special CJM court (CBI) denied to accept the bail application of accused Trinamool Congress MP, Sudip Bandopadhyay and herein remanded him to the judicial custody till Jan 25. the CBI had earlier taken Sudip on a four-day remand for interrogation where the it had questioned him about his links with the chit fund company, what benefits he has gained from the company and if any minister, MP or MLA has links with the firm. Earlier than that, Sudip was taken on a six-day remand by the CBI.

Notably, Sudip was arrested on Jan 3 by the CBI in Kolkata and brought here for having an alleged involvement in the scam.
