Malkangiri, Jan 14:The rumoured abduction case takes a new turn when two poll officials today admitted that they had been actually kidnapped by the ultras. Their statements came in after the Malkangiri SDPO had dismissed the report yesterday. Today the two poll officials named Praveen Soren, Kamalakant Se met the top police officials and Collector after being released from the rebels and apprised them about the ordeal. They stated that three more officials named SP Rajguru,Padmanabha Bala, Babu are still under the custody of the Maoists and three others named Parsuram Behera, Lingaraj Majhi, Hrushi Nayak somehow managed to escape from the spot after being informed by the villagers about the Maoist action. they also further said that around 22 Maoist cadres were involved in abduction. They had threatened them against participation in elections. Hours after the report of abduction, Malkangiri SDPO Rahul PR dubbed the report fake yesterday.
