Dhenkanal, Jan 19: In a tragic incident, a woman from Dhenkanal district allegedly threw hot water on her mother in law’s face after she asked for food.
Identified as Shanti Maharana (55), the victim, of Siminai village, had an exchange of words with her elder daughter-in-law, when she asked her for food. Leading to this, the daughter-in-law threw hot water at Shanti’s face.
Sustaining burn injuries, Shanti was admitted to the Dhenkanal DHH by her younger son Sauria. He has also lodged a complaint at the Sadar police station here in Dhenkanal.
