Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: On Tuesday for the Republic Day, the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade was held at Mahatma Gandhi Marg. The parade started from GPO square and proceeded till the Master Canteen square. Elaborate arrangements had been made by the Commissionerate Police for smooth conduct of the parade along the said route. Around 78 troupes from Odisha Police, Fire Services, NDRF, Red Cross, NCC and students from colleges and schools took part in the parade that lasted for three hours. It’s officially stated that a troupe from Telangana would be participating in the parade on the Jan 26, Thursday. DGP KB Singh informed the media that around 30 platoons of force have been deployed for the event in the city and CCTV cameras have also been installed in sensitive places to keep a check on the miscreants
