Cuttack, Feb 18: Around Rs 5 cr of disproportionate movable and immovable assets have been recovered by the Vigilance officials from the possession of IAS officer and managing director of Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) after successive raids were conducted at the official residence, private residence and the office IAS officer. The mysterious documents seized from his possession are being examined but however, it is evident through these documents that Mishra supposedly led a luxurious life that too beyond his means. Till now, three massive buildings one each at Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, whose value runs into more than Rs 2.5 crore, have been identified. Verification in respect of other immovable properties like lands, multiple bank accounts with deposit running into crores in his name is under process. He also owns a high-end City Honda Car, cost of which is more than Rs 11 lakh, around 42 foreign branded perfumes, 9 expensive watches of branded companies, 52 pieces of jean pants of different costly brands, 73 pieces of branded shirts, 32 pieces of costly T-Shirts, 32 pieces of costly branded coats, all these are under verification process. His travel documents revealed that Mishra has frequently visited foreign countries like USA, UK, Canada, Netherlands and spent a good amount of money on such trips, the valuation of which is under verification. Previously, Vigilance had seized cash worth Rs 2,14,750 from the official car of Mishra on Wednesday and later arrested him on Thursday.
