Bhubaneswar, Mar 13: Today on the festival of colors, Holi, residents of Odisha were seen celebrating holi in a much herbal form instead of the chemical colors. At a programme conducted by model and cine star Swapna Pati witnessed many people playing holi with turmeric paste, sandalwood paste, multani mitti and tomato paste. Blind students were a part of the event. MP Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Congress leader Suresh Kumar Routray, Actor Soumya Ranjan, Social Activist Dilip Srichandan and Director Sushant Mani were also a part of the event. Along with this, singer, Navya performed in the programme.
Swapna informed the media that this time, a different form of holi has been celebrated to avoid the use of chemical colors. It is a step to make people aware so that they do not fall victims to skin diseases and also water is not wasted.
