4 labours of Koraput, Odisha succumb to death in Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Police officials

Koraput, Sept 8: Today the Koraput police informed that four migrant labourers named Bhaskar Jani, Kumar Kuldeep, Gorkha Muduli, Keshaba Jani belonging to Kebidi village of Borigumma block here were killed near Egmore railway station in Tamil Nadu. These workers had gone to Chennai for labour work. Yesterday while they were crossing the railway line near Egmore railway station on their way to the workplace, they were hit by a train. While 3 died on spot, the fourth one died as he was brought to the nearby hospital.

While the Chief Minister’s Office has asked the Koraput District administration to ensure that the bodies are handed over to the families at their house, on the other hand earlier, a police team reached Kebidi village and showed photos of the victims to the family members to identify and informed them about the incident.
