Angul, Sept 3: Yesterday at around 3pm in Samakhoi Sahi of Angarbandh Village here, a youth named Sarathi Sahu allegedly abducted a four-year-old girl. It’s stated that the accused had allegedly threatened the girl not to inform about the incident to anyone. However, looking at the physical condition of the girl, locals enquired from the victim as to what had happened to her.
Immediately, the victim has been admitted to the Angul District Headquarters Hospital to undergo thorough examination. In the meantime, the villagers on getting the news, thrashed the accused brutally. Later he was handed over to the police as the police rushed to the spot. Sahu has been brought to the police station where interrogation will be done on him. As soon as the girl came and narrated the entire mishap to her father, he immediately filed as FIR at the nearby police station. This time a lady sub-inspector is in charge of the investigation into the matter. This was informed by IIC of Angul Police station Subhash Chandra Sahoo.
