Puri, Dec 6: The Chandrabhaga beach has witnessed a huge number of crowd yesterday as the five day long International Sand Art festival concluded on Monday. It has recorded a footfall of more than six lakh visitors.
Around 68 artists came in from five different countries to participate in the festival. As per the rules, they were sculpted art based on new themes. The Sand Art made on the theme of climate change could be seen on the last day of the festival.
Jitendra Kishore Jagdev was awarded as the winner in the solo category and in the Duo category it were, Niranjan Das and Ajit Kumar.
It may be noted that renowned sand artist, Sudersan Patnaik was announced as the brand ambassador of the 5th International sand art festival which was organized by the Odisha tourism.
