New Delhi: There shall be a six-layer checking and frisking in view of the security arrangements for 76th Republic Day, said reliable reports in this regard. Reports further added that, there is multilayer barricading. Video cameras, video analytics and FRS (facial recognition system) shall be enabled at all important places.
For the 76th Republic Day celebration in Delhi as many as 15,000 police personnel shall be deployed by the district police. There shall be proper checking and frisking for the vehicles and people.
It is further worth mentioning that on the security arrangements for the 76th Republic Day, New Delhi DCP Devesh Kumar Mahla told ANI, “We have made a multi-layer security arrangement for January 26. We have arranged a 6-layer checking and frisking for vehicles. There is multilayer barricading. Video cameras, video analytics and FRS (facial recognition system) have been enabled. Several thousands of CCTV cameras are installed.”
He further added that, “around 15,000 police personnel have been deployed by the district police. There have been 8-9 briefings and rehearsals. The arrangements for January 26 and the Delhi elections are almost the same.”
“We are well prepared and we can deal with any kind of contingency, ” New Delhi DCP Devesh Kumar Mahla concluded.
The President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto shall be the Chief Guest for Republic Day Parade 2025, said reports in this regard on Thursday. The Indonesian President shall be to be in India on a State Visit from January 23 to January 26. He will witness the Republic Day Parade 2025 as the Chief Guest.
During his visit, he will be called on by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. He will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu.
It is also worth mentioning here that, the Indonesian contingent has been invited to participate in the Republic Day Parade 2025 on the Kartvya Path, as the Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto shall be the chief guest at this year’s Republic Day parade.
