9 girls of Dongria Kondh tribe successfully passes HSC examinations for the first time

Rayagada, May 2: Setting a new record that no one from Dongria Kondh tribe could ever do, nine girls have been able to successfully clear the HSC exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE). These nine girls are the students of Kansur Educational Complex that is managed by Dongria Kondh Development Authority (DKDA) near Kalyansinghpur here. The girls achieved this by pulling up their socks for overcoming many challenges hindering their life and lifestyle. This is the first time that all the nine girls who had appeared successfully cleared the examination.

Subarna Jakasika, one of the successful girls stated to media that she aims to make the Dongria Kondh tribe to an educated tribe and hence she aspires to become a teacher. Lucky Kadraka, another successful girl stated that girls of this tribe are not been given edication and this stereotype needs to be broken. Hence, as all these girls have passed the exam, others from the tribe should also achieve the same.

The Kansur educational complex has also played a significant role in helping the tribal girls continue their studies. On the other hand, the Rayagada district administration has decided to felicitate the girls soon.
