On Saturday, thick fog blanketed much of Odisha, disrupting daily life across the state. The Regional Meteorological Centre sent out warnings for 14 districts.
Visibility remained poor until about 10 am, making road travel difficult and disrupting daily routines. Many people were delayed due to slow-moving vehicles on highways and city roads.
According to the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre, fog is expected to persist for the next four days in several districts. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued fog warnings for 14 districts for the next 24 hours and advises caution during travel, particularly in the early morning.

Warnings:

An Orange Warning for dense fog has been issued for Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur, indicating elevated risk and possible disruption. A Yellow Warning is in effect for Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Sundargarh.
The weather department advises motorists to use fog lights, maintain safe distances, and avoid non-essential travel during early morning hours. Authorities are instructed to remain vigilant, as dense fog may affect road safety and disrupt transportation services statewide in the coming days.
