Bhubaneswar, Jan 23: The Odisha State budget for 2015-16 will focus more on agriculture and irrigation sectors.

Sources in the Government said that participants at a pre-budget meeting suggested that more emphasis needs to be laid on these sectors apart from ways to increase revenue.

They suggested mining and other taxes as areas from where more revenue can be generated, the sources added.

State Finance Minister Pradeep Amat has received nearly 2000 suggestions from the public in this regard.
