Cuttack, Feb 2: The Orissa High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail petition of former additional government advocate Debashis Panda and prosecutor for Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the ArthaTatwa chit-fund scam.

Panda had appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in April last year for interrogation about his alleged complicity with the chit fund company.

He was directed by the Orissa High Court in March, 2015 to depose before the central investigating agency.

Panda, who served as additional government advocate from 2009 and 2014, had signed as a witness in a sale deed of a house that Mohanty purchased from AT group.

The CBI had claimed Mohanty did not pay all the money to Sethy, thereby raising suspicion about his links with the chit fund firm.
