Bhuabaneswar, Feb 14: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janta Dal has denied the allegation of the Central government that State government was misleading the people in the State over subsidy on ration under the central sponsored National Food Security Act scheme.
Party spokesman Pratap Deb said on Saturday that the people of the State knew what the State government was doing for them.
Deb said, the BJD has been going to the people during polls in both 2009 and 2014 and the result is before everyone.
He said even when he was Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Minister, several hours have been spent on debate on the issue in the State Assembly,” he asserted.
Deb was reacting to the statement of Paswan at a press conference in State capital during his two-day visit on Friday that Tamil Nadu and Odisha governments were misleading the people of their respective states of providing cheap ration.
