Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: The staff of a hotel was on Friday questioned by Soro police as part of the probe into the Ranjit Patnaik alias Raja suicide case.

According to sources, the police questioned the sister and brother-in-law of Raja staying at Delta colony here. Raja’s relatives told the police that the couple were in a relationship and that Raja was not much in contact with them after meeting Jessy.

Later, the police team visited Hotel Solan Inn in the city frequented by the couple Raja and Pralipta Priyadarshini  Samal alias Jessy and questioned the staff.

The hotel staff has said that Raja and Jessy were staying in the room number 414, since September. Surprisingly, while all the staffers agreed that that both of them were staying in the room for the last six months, no possession of Jessy has been found in the room, according to police officers.

What has confused the police that while the room has clothes and daily use items used by Raja, not a single thing belonging to Jessy was found in the room during the search.
