Dhenkanal, Feb 21: Agriculture Technology Management Agency [ATMA] is organising 2-day District level Krishi Mahotasav to exhibit achievements of various departments and empowering farmers at Mini stadium from today.
In the two day programme at Mini stadium , as many as 70 stalls will be put up to highlight successful works of Agriculture, horticulture, fishery, ORMAS, NABARD, banks, Shakti sugars limited, IFFCO, Indian Potash Limited, veterinary and use of modern technology in agriculture and allied sectors.
This apart , session like scientists-farmers interaction programme to sensitize farmers about importance of soil testing, facilities for crops provided by government to the farmers and empower them for more cash crops by using modern technology, informed Chhabindra Behera, Deputy director of Agriculture .
Progressive farmers will be awarded by Dhenkanal MP Tathagata Satpathy who will inaugurate the Krishi Mahotsav.
Cultural programme have been planned to highlight agri activities.
