Bhubaneswar, Oct 14: Utkal Chemist and Druggist association has called for a day-long strike on Wednesday to protest against the online sale of medicine in India.
According to sources, over 18,000 medicine stores across Odisha are closed since midnight on Tuesday, while medicine shops in hospital complexes have been exempted.
Earlier, the association had submitted a memorandum to the State government against allowing online sale of medicines.
