Bhubaneswar, April 16: The new rule of Odisha government for identifying the chit fund victims has disappointed lakhs of depositors, alleged state unit of BJP.
As per the new rule, the chit fund victims will apply online and after a lengthy process the depositors may get money, said BJP state secretary Jatin Mohanty in a release on Friday.

“Two years ago, the government had announced Rs 300 crore-corpus fund for the chit fund victims. It is sad to say that the beneficiary identification process has not been completed till the date. Again, the government has changed the rule for identifying the chitfund victims and in name of the changing the policy, it amounts to exploiting the innocent depositors,” Mohanty said.
Alleging that the steps of the government stank of a conspiracy to shield many ministers and BJD leaders allegedly involved in mega scam, he said this was yet another move to delay the CBI probe into the Ponzi scam.
