Bhubaneswar: June 28: Both BJP and BJD have announced to stage demonstration, rally and others on June 29. This is an unusual seen to be witnessed tomorrow. BJP will raise voice against BJD on the issue of Bargarh whereas BJD will stage demonstration highlighting centre’s neglect of Odisha.
Notably, protesting against the attack on Union Textile Minister Santosh Gangwar, State BJP Unit will hold state-wide protest on June 29 and also staged demonstration near Raj Bhawan. A decision regarding this was taken at an emergency meeting of the BJP core team in presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Party leaders Bijoy Mohapatra, KV Singhdeo and Dilip Ray.
Similarly, on the same day, ruling party BJD will also hold a rally in front of Raj Bhavan highlighting Central neglect of Odisha and the farmer community in the State. Talking to the media, Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy said, thousands of farmers will gather in front of the Governor’s house and protest against centre’s anti-farmers’ agenda.
BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said, BJD’s decision to hold rallies is an after-thought after BJP announced a state-wide protest against the BJD workers’ attack on Union Minister. So, it’s a panic reaction of BJD.
