Bhubaneswar, July 1 : Jagannath Bhajanavali Part-4 and Part-5 rendered by renowned artistes of Odisha was released on Thursday by Sri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
The event was organized by Akash Vani, Cuttack. On releasing the CD, the Maharaja thanked AIR for this effort. On this occasion, the Guest of Honor, Shri Suresh Chandra Panda, Member of Prasar Bharati informed that the very valuable audio and video CDs stored at Akash Vani and Doordarshan would be made available for people, phase wise. It has decided to provide CDs at a 30% discount during the Ratha Yatra festival, he further added.
The Welcome speech was delivered by the Additional Director General of Akash Vani, N.S. Thomas and the thanks giving speech was given by Suhas Mohanty, the Director of Akash Vani, Cuttack. On this auspicious occasion, Jagannath Culture Researcher, Dr. Krushna Keshav Sarangi lightened the audience at the event on the glory of Shri Jagannath.
Notably, on the occasion of Nabakalebara, the first 3 parts of Jagannath Bhajanvali had been released by Puri Maharaja at Puri Palace. The 4 and 5th part of this CD consists 30 Bhajans and Jananas (Prayers) of Shri Jagannanth by Salabega, Saria Vika, Banamali, Bhimabhoi, Achutya Nanda and Aviram Prambramha, sung by a famous singer.
