12 member team of BJD to leave for Chhattisgarh today

Bhubaneswar, Aug 8: In order to do a ground inspection about the controversial project Kelo, constructed on the upper catchment of Mahanadi River by Chhattisgarh government, the 12-member BJD team, headed by MP and BJD vice president, Prasana Acharya would visit Chhattisgarh on Monday.

The tem would first visit Jharsuguda for a brief halt, then it would visit the Spot on August 9 and 10. During their visit, the team would discuss the matter with Chhattisgarh water resources department.

Earlier, it had been informed by Acharya regarding the verbal confirmation of Chhattisgarh’s Water Resources Minister, Brijmohoan Agarwal.

The team would also visit Arpa-Bhaisajhar project and seven other construction sites on the river.
