Valuables worth Rs 15 lakh looted from Andhra Bank on Wednesday

Bhubaneswar, Sept 1: Yesterday, in the afternoon cash and ornaments worth Rs 15 lakh was looted by seven looters from the Andhra Bank in Kaushalyaganga area in the outskirts here.

It’s stated that these seven miscreants had come on three bikes and shoved into the bank and defeated the staff there after attacking the security guard, Babaji Sethi with a bhujali. Further, they demanded the branch manager at knife point to hand over the bank locker key to them thus robbing off the valuables.

On receiving information, the team of Pipli Police station immediately rushed to the bank for an on-spot enquiry. The security guard informed the media that one of the miscreants suddenly kicked him from behind.
