Bhubaneswar, Sept 8: A constable named Shankar Behera was suspended by Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi on Wednesday as he allegedly allowed the arrested AT Group chief Pradip Sethi to use mobile phone while undergoing treatment at SCB medical college and hospital in Cuttack.
As per the information received from the DCP Bhoi, the decision to suspend Behera was taken after some evidences were received by them. To carry out a detail enquiry in the matter, an additional DCP has been appointed.
Besides, Dr Sidharth Das, Chairman of SCB medical college and hospital, said that after the completion of his treatment, Pradip Sethi will be discharged from the hospital. Also, he would be charged for the treatment after the treatment is completed, Das added.
Notably, after Pradip Sethi attempted to commit suicide inside his cell in Jharpada jail, he was admitted at SCB hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
