Cuttack, Sept 13: In a firing incident at Deula Sahi in Cuttak today, two persons P. Das and a lady Subhra Mohanty sustained injuries.
As per reports, when Das was having breakfast near Omfed parlour at Deula Sahi, a person named Purna Chandra Mohanty fired at him which caused bullet injuries on Das’s head. The owner of the parlour, Subhra also sustained injuries as two bullets penetrated in her left arm. Both the injured have been admitted to the casualty ward of SCB Medical College and Hospital here.
Purna has been arrested by the Bidanasi police. The police seized the gun Purna used in the firing. With the real reason behind the incident yet to be ascertained, land dispute is suspected to be the reason behind the firing.
