New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, Sep 15: The data given out by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways says that last year Odisha lost around 4,217 people and 11,606 sustained injuries in 10,356 in various road accidents. It’s stated that 3380 accidents occurred due to overloading which took away lives of 1,350 people while 231 people died in bus accidents. 427 people were killed in 972 different accidents due to drunken driving and on an average 12 people died in one day due to such accidents.
