Balasore, Sept 20: With the probe into the multi-crore chit fund scam still on, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) who had applied in the Kolkata court to take two directors of Ponzi firm Infiniti Realcon-Pranab Mukherjee and Prabir Mukherjee on remand, was granted with the permission by the court on Sunday.
As per the information from a CBI officer, the duo accused for duping depositors with Rs 565 crore in Odisha and west Bengal, would be interrogated about their operations in Odisha.
Notably, by opening offices in Balasore and Bhadrak disricts, the firm had lured the deposits from the investors between 2009 and 2013.
