Human Rights panel asks Odisha Govt to prevent farmer suicides

Bhubaneswar, Nov 3: In the wake of increasing number of farmer suicides in State, Odisha Human Rights Commission has asked the government to initiate measures to prevent recurrence of such tragedies.

The commission passed an order on a petition filed by Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on October 28 and asked the government to submit the action taken report in this regard by December 2.
