Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: In an age fudging case, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has terminated seven women under-19 players belonging to Odisha based on the accusation made regarding tampering with the age proof certificates.

Those seven women are Banalata Mallick, Sushree Dibyadarsini, Pragya Paramita Mohanty, D Janaki Reddy, Sasmita Mahalik, Shilpa Swain and Sarojini Giri. BCCI has also served show cause notices to four Ranji players of the state in connection with the tampering of the age proof certificates. They are Alok Sahu, Ashutosh Das, Rajesh Dhupar and Shubham Nayak. Apart from this the age proof provided by them for Junior and Senior team selections were also found to be repugnant. All this was informed by the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Asirbad Behera today to the media.

Few days back, names of six male players of the under-19 cricket team of Odisha named Suryakanta Samal, Khyamasagar Bal, Sooraj Singh, Pratyush Mohapatra and Harshit Singh were cut off after finding fraudulent notions in their date of birth which were provided by the players in the last and current season. They were terminated and sent back, thus withheld from playing for the East Zone Vinoo Mankad Trophy in Jharkhand.
