Bhubaneswar, Oct 12: To begin the national programme of the survey work for tracing oil and natural gas resources in Mahanadi basin in Odisha, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the programme today.
The programme will be held in Khaira Block of Balasore district. The programme will help to ascertain the quantum of hydrocarbon resources available in Odisha.
The Union Minister will reach Taranga Village in Khaira block from Odisha’s Soro. Yuva Morcha General Secretary Thakur Ranjoit Das and Senior BJP leader Pratap Sadangi, will also be present at the inauguration site.
Senior officials of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) are supervising the work at the site.
