3 electricians suspended in connection to Sum hospital fire mishap

Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: In connection to the Sum Hospital fire outbreak on Monday, which happened due to short circuit, three electricians of the hospital have been suspended by the hospital authorities on Tuesday after finding delinquency in their duty. This was informed by Jyoti Prakash, Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Hospital.

On the other hand, the exact reason behind their termination has not yet been declared by the hospital authorities.

Health service at the hospital has resumed normalcy excluding the ICU, dialysis and emergency ward. To provide free treatment to injured persons in the mishap, all necessary steps have been taken, informed the PRO.

As per Binaya Behra, DG of Fire Service, the short circuit led to the fire outbreak at the hospital.

It may be noted that the fire mishap at the Sum Hospital happened due to an electric short circuit that led to a major fire outbreak in the Intensive Care Unit of the Dialysis ward in the first floor of the hospital on Monday.
