Bhubaneswar: October 21: Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Odisha, resigned today from his post as the pressure goes up against him on the issue of fire mishap at SUM Hospital which claimed 24 lives so far. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, ‘Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak sent his resignation to me on moral grounds. I have accepted this and sent the letter to Governor”. It is learnt that, Governor of Odisha has accepted the resignation of Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak. Finance Minister Pradeep Amat will take charge of Health Department whereas Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh will have additional responsibility of Information & Public Relations department.
