Bhawanipatna, Oct 27: In yet another brutal act, suspecting him as a police informer, the Maoists of the Kalahandi district have allegedly killed another person identified as Lalu Harijan by slitting his throat in Salapanga village under Sadar block in the district on Wednesday.
Similarly on the same day, the Maoists killed the village guard of Katlanga village in Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district identified as Chemu Harijan on suspicion of being a police informer.
Notably, on October 15, in a fire exchange between the police and Maoists at Katlanga reserve forest in Kalahandi district, a woman cadre Maoist named Sangita was killed. Irate over the incident, the Maoists had held Harijan and other villagers of Katlanga captive. However, they later released the villagers but still held Harijan captive on suspicion of him being a police informer.
