Cuttack, Dec 19: With the ongoing demonetization and cash crunch, the fall in ticket prices has led the Odisha Cricket Association to go for cashless sales of tickets for the upcoming India-England match in Barabati stadium next month.
A host of decisions were taken in a preparatory meet held by the OCA for smooth conduct of the match scheduled on January 19 in Cuttack.
The cricket body has decided to go cashless and provide POS machines at ticket counters for people who wish to buy tickets through debit/credit card, while tickets below Rs 2000 cab be bought by cash and tickets above that will be sold against DD or cheque.
While the sale of tickets by the agency will be held on January 14th and 15th, online ticket sale will begin from January 2 and Stadium counters will sale tickets on January 16 and 17, said sources.
