Bhubaneswar, Nov 12: Private carrier Indigo Airlines is all set to launch its new direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru and Kolkata from January 1 next.
As per the schedule, the new flight would leave Bengaluru and arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 6 PM and then leave for Kolkata. In the return direction, the flight would reach Bhubaneswar from Kolkata and then leave for Bengaluru.
At present, Indigo has one flight to Bhubaneswar. The flight arrives in Bhubaneswar from Bengaluru at 1.25 PM and leaves for Bengaluru at 2.15 PM. With this new flight, Indigo will have two regular flights from Bhubaneswar.
While there are a total of 19 flights to New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Vizag, Port Blair, Bengaluri and Varanasi from Bhubaneswar at present, the total flight from the city airport would go up to 21 with the launch of regular flight of Indigo Airlines.
