Cuttack, Feb 10: On Thursday, the Vigilance officials blew down hard on corruption and the corrupt officials, by saying that its prime focus will be to confiscate all properties that are unaccounted or controversial in nature in accordance with Article 13 of Special Courts Act 2006. Director of Vigilance, Dr RP Sharma informed this to the media at a press meet. Elaborating on the fact, he stated that 575 cases had been registered last year of which 162 cases were registered against Class-I officials and 104 against Class-II officials in which a total of 1099 persons were accused. In all these cases, around Rs 115.52 crores of unaccounted properties had been seized. Similarly 141 cases were registered since 2013 out of which 43 cases have been solved.
