Bhubaneswar, Mar 2: Today the BJP legislature party leader KV Singh Deo alleged in the State Assembly that the national flag has been hoisted on the left side of a vehicle used by a minister bearing registration number OD 02AG 6699, which is against the Flag Code of India and is thus an insult to our Tricolour. Later it was found out that the vehicle is being used by Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra. Deo said this during the zero hour of the Assembly.
Elaborately, Deo stated to the media that the Flag Code says that the Tricolour should be hoisted either at the centre or right-hand side of the vehicle. As it was not so, Deo made an attempt to highlight the incident so the the State government could initiate some action.
On the other hand, Mishra said that he would present a reply in the House only after going through the Law Book.
